here’s something i think people forget about the blood elves.
90% of their population was wiped out. That’s a LOT.
most of the time, I see people’s mindset like “oh yes what a tragedy but the show must go on hoho” which is not necessarily wrong but put it into this perspective
90% of your town/city was wiped out.
the streets would be empty. the baker? gone. that one family you always say hi to on your way to work? gone. the cute old florist dude? gone
maybe there’d be a guy sweeping the roads, a womans cries can be heard echoing through the empty streets.
society stops.
who’s gonna be taking up all those jobs that were previously occupied? foods and grain still have to be imported/harvested/etc. what about meat??? there’s probably already so much wildlife thats dead too

90% is gone. 1% remained high elves and left. that’s 9% left
lets say 0.5% became void elves
there’s only 8.5% back. thats next to nothing and it’s kinda scary when you think about what the blood elves went through
